About Five Virtues

Five Elements Theory is an important aspect of Chinese Medicine. In nature, the five elements are wood, fire, earth, metal and water. In a human being, the five elements correspond to our five main internal organs, being the liver, heart, spleen, lung and kidney respectively. Each of these organs is also linked to a specific virtue, being: humanness, propriety, faith/integrity, righteousness and wisdom/knowledge. When these five virtues are being upheld and manifested in our everyday dealing with the world and others, we'd achieve optimal health, i.e. health in body, mind and soul.
Every disease is a message from the body, calling out to us to correct the imbalances in our mind, body and soul.
Healing takes place at many levels. The process of healing is the journey of returning "home"......whatever "home" may mean to you. Let us help you embark on the journey of healing - the journey of returning home.
“The moon gets its illumination from the sun, the viscera organs get their radiance from the brilliance of virtues."
~ Taoism
月亮以太陽之光而明,臟腑靠心德之光而亮

Tzu-Yi Marion Wei, Dipl. O.M., L.Ac.
Marion's interest in Chinese Medicine started in her early teens when a family friend, a practicing herbalist helped family members and friends with troubling, chronic illnesses with only Chinese herbs AND had amazing results! Later on, she'd find herself taking only Chinese herbs for ailments ranging from a simple cold to digestive issues, even stress!
Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, she worked as a financial auditor in one of the Big Four accounting firms. But the interest to study Chinese medicine and become a healer were always in the back of her mind. Eventually she enrolled in the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland and earned her Masters of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Marion follows the classical approach of Chinese Medicine, both in the application of acupuncture and herbal formulas. She has also studied the Master Tung acupuncture points, which are very effective for pain-related conditions as well as a wide range of ailments.
As a practitioner, it is Marion's goal to share the power and beauty of this medicine with everyone through her practice.
